I hereby declare victory over The Slug Wars. Today I have eaten my first full-sized ripe strawberry. The victory came by way of realizing I should raise my containers off the ground. It only took one day of picking off slugs and pill bugs to realize the dream. And I have yet to see another one.
The tower defense fortification has come by way of IKEA.
Now let’s wait to see if we get a second strawberry. Will the Council of Elder Slugs meet and formulate a new strategy?
