I have a slug problem. They’re everywhere in my yard. And they love my strawberries. So much so, I rarely get to eat them myself.
I searched for solutions, and there’s not many that I liked. One of them in particular though, stood out as so completely obvious that I feel stupid for not realizing it myself: if your plant is in a container, elevate it.
Well, duh!
So I put them on a table, plucked all the ones I could see and gave them a free, relaxing saltwater bath. Now, their slug peers have to crawl up the 3 foot high table legs of lost hope, navigate the slats of death, up the cliffs of insanity, and out that dangling branch of doom.
Will I get to eat this strawberry? If so, then I will have finally won the war!
