But today I heard it for the first time since I started to learn drumming.  I immediately noticed the kicks were not on-beat and so I thought, hey I should learn this.  It didn&#8217;t take long to work out but was still fun to learn.  Then I decided to record it and throw in a bunch of reverb\/echo and see what I get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was my first attempt at the intro&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/johnnycarlos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/PracticeLog21-2025.21.11-WhenTheLeveeBreaks.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Listening to it now I realize the tempo is too slow!  I can&#8217;t be leaving it like this.
