I think a lot. With the number of ideas I get in a single day, I wonder why I’m not a billionaire?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s idea is to practice music every day. Not a new idea, I know. It’s more like a decision. Today I made this decision to solidify exactly how many minutes I will practice at a minimum each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for me, that will revolve around metrics. I love counting and tracking things. I love lists, spreadsheets, and data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also live on die by phone’s timer. I often set my timers, reminders, and a calendar appointments. So I don’t forget to do things. So, the idea here is to use a countdown timer to incentivize myself. And I’m going to set it to an hour. Throughout the day, whenever I pick up the sticks to practice rudiments, I will run the timer. Everything music will count: strumming the guitar, noodling with Ableton Move, drumming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I just realize my phone’s clock app allows for multiple timers and you can name each one. So here it is, the music practice timer…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
