It is happening with a brand new, full charged Traxxas brand 4S 5000C.  And I suspect it is hitting the low voltage cutoff.  I&#8217;m not seeing any search results for this, but I think what is happening is that the battery is cold.  And when it&#8217;s cold, it has a higher internal resistance.  So when throttling early in the session, the voltage is dropping too low and the ESC momentarily cuts off the power.
