The Luck Factor book largely revolves around getting out there, being extroverted, networking, and meeting as many people as possible for chance encounters. When I described this to my mentor at work, she called it: building your tribe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, the effects of this was demonstrated to me by the number of people I saw in town that I already knew. I took my teen son to an art show for the local high school. Stepping out of the car I immediately saw someone from Rotary crossing the street. In the art gallery, I met the organizer, whom I had emailed a couple of months before asking about the program for my son. Later, my wife and I went to the local pub for book club. In line I met the local Rotary chapter president and got to introduce her to my wife. And finally, of course, all the people I now know from book club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a standout day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I’m not gonna stop…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
