{"id":1089,"date":"2026-03-02T22:02:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T22:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/johnnycarlos.com\/?p=1089"},"modified":"2026-03-02T22:02:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T22:02:48","slug":"luck-journal-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johnnycarlos.com\/index.php\/2026\/03\/02\/luck-journal-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Luck Journal 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After reading <a href=\"https:\/\/johnnycarlos.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/25\/the-luck-factor\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/johnnycarlos.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/25\/the-luck-factor\/\">The Luck Factor,<\/a> I&#8217;m going to start journaling about things I&#8217;ve learned, thoughts I have about it, or anything lucky thing that happens to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Principle 1 can be summed up as extroversion and putting yourself out there as much as possible to increase your chance opportunities.  This morning, and all this week, I&#8217;ve taken my dog to the local coffee shop.  I sat out front, smiled, made eye contact, and greeted everyone walking in.  I saw someone I met before but forgot their name, so I asked their name again and wrote it down because I&#8217;m bad at names.  I think I just learn better when I see words instead of hear them.  Next time I&#8217;ll say his name.  Had some small talk about my dog with a couple other people.  And someone I knew walked by, noticed me again and said, &#8220;Hey you&#8217;re a regular here&#8221;.  Guess I am now.  Or, for now.
