I’ve been searching for my old mountain bike for about six years now. Off and on. I’d mostly given up. But now I’m going to put my luck to the test. I’m not going to give up, going to double down my efforts and I am determined to succeed.
I bought the bike in the late 80’s and somewhere in the early 2000’s, I got a serious mountain bike and decided I needed to cull the herd and got rid of my Cannondale. Now that I’m getting old, nostalgia is getting to me. I no longer need a full-suspension bike and I long for my old trusty Cannondale Alpine Series in blue and yellow.
Today I found the right model, but it’s a small frame and I need the large, or medium at the minimum. Here’s what it looks like:

I’m tempted to buy this as a parts donor for when I do find the right bike. Or I may just let it pass.
Anyways, I’m putting it down here on the blog to document the start of my new found determination. And a test of my luck.
Let’s do this.
