Here’s me doing some more Basic Punk Beat, but I’ve stepped it up to 125 bpm. Doing this with heal down. I noticed I really wanted to do it heal up since it seems easier and is louder. Right now I’m not sure what I should be doing, but heal down is harder. So, since I’m a “if you want to do it the hard way” kinda guy…
When I play heal down the kicks are weak sauce.
I tried doing a double on “3-and” for some extra spice but it was a spectacular fail. I could not do it fast at all. It because obvious I have a lot of work to do in order to learn how to play doubles.
I didn’t want to practice today, had a long day at the office. But I forced myself. If nothing else, if my brain doesn’t want to do anything else, I can always practice this beat. I got tired quick so it’s probably a good one for building stamina.
Today was also the first time I needed to reference my own blog too. I forgot how many bpm I practiced last time and I was able to look that up and even listen to it. That was kinda neato benito. Seems like this is working out for tracking my progress. Dig it, man.
