Today I got a Traxxas Disruptor. I was able to use it for a few minutes, but something felt off. At first I thought it was cavitating or something. But as soon as I gave it it’s first full throttle pull, it became clear something was very wrong. When I opened the lid there was smoke and metal shavings under the motor shaft. When I got home I realized the coupler from motor to the shaft must not have been tight enough and the motor was slipping. I managed to tighten it up and will try again tomorrow.
