Last fall, I overwintered my chili pepper plants in a greenhouse. That turned out to be kind of a useless endeavor. In Zone 9b, the greenhouse would get very hot during the day. And at night it would still get cold. Slightly less cold because of the greenhouse, but it was still in the 40’s and the plants went dormant anyways. So there really was no point. Next winter I’ll just trim them down and leave them out, unless there’s a freeze.
Anyways, this is what they look like now that spring is springing.

Half of them seem to be making a comeback. Especially the Ghost plant. Perhaps that’s a metaphor for something…
Three of them seem to have a couple of very small new leaves but I’m not sure. Nighttime temps are still touching 50 F. I would have thought they’d come back faster but I could be wrong.
