As a bicyclist, there’s a number of annoying things I’ve encountered in the Bike Lane: cars, pedestrians, pot holes. Any number of things. But this sign covers the most important thing of all… Don’t P in the bike lane.
It’s been a week since I posted about things I’ve considered lucky. And I don’t want to lose the momentum and stop thinking about my luck. A bunch of things happened and I’ve forgotten most of them. But the other day I took my son downtown and recognized three people. He asked, “Do you know everybody in this town?”
My son is talking about transferring to a high school closer to home. That would be a lucky thing for sure as it’s current an hour drive round trip to take him to school.
My plants are growing. So far, three of the six chilli pepper plants that went dormant over winters are coming back. And some veggie garden seedlings I planted have germinated.
I’ve added some new friends to my Facebook.
I’ve been searching for my old mountain bike that I bought in the 80’s. I’ve been looking for it off and on for years now. Today I found two on craigslist, specifically in the SF bay area. Unfortunately they were the wrong size, but it does give me hope. More importantly, it tells me the craigslist SF bay area is probably going to be the most likely place I do find it.
I decided to quit playing Magic the Gathering when I read that Maro said the Spiderman set was in the top ten of all sets. I’m not interested in the direction this is going. Especially considering the current set is Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. This game is no longer for me. What luck! Suddenly I have more free time and money. Booyah!
I went to a political rally and bumped in to someone I met before. I met him because I saw him on a Surly and I decided to talk bicycles with him. We talked about getting together some time. Well, bumping into him and we set a date to meet and take more about biking in our town. I will share my new enthusiasm for beach cruises.
